Discipleship 101 is CPC's way of taking time each summer to work together to support our communities locally, nationally, and across the globe. As followers of Christ, we know that we are called to help others.

Ready to Sign Up? Call the church office at 850-893-7472 and let Amanda know which project you would like sign up for.

THIS YEAR'S PROJECTS

FRIDAY EVENING, JUNE 23rd at 6:15
Dinner will begin at 6:15pm on Friday, June 23rd. Although RSVPs to the church office are not required, they're always helpful for planning purposes. Please call the church office at 850-893-7472 and leave a message for Amanda to let us know if you plan to be there for dinner on June 23rd.

Following dinner, everyone will be invited to either prepare small pans of lasagna in the kitchen for delivery to homebound members and residents of the Ronald McDonald House or stay in the sanctuary to complete a special project to benefit others. Keith Baxter will lead the lasagna preparation. All materials and ingredients will be supplied for lasagna, cards, and placemats.

SATURDAY MORNING, JUNE 24th from 9-12

We'll gather into teams to complete service projects for others. Please choose from the following options:

UKIRK: yardwork to include hedge trimming, weeding, repair, and painting turquoise picnic table (Team Captain: Mary Steen)

ECHO Family Friendly Special Project (Team Captain: Nancy Milburn)

Sleep in Heavenly Peace: Delivering and Assembling Bunk Beds to families whose children are without beds (Team Captain: Tyler Harris)

  • Diapers, all sizes Baby wipes

  • Clorox wipes
  • Drawstring trash bags

Sleep in Heavenly Peace
Believe it or not, there are currently over 100 bed requests for children without beds in Tallahassee. We'd like to do something about that. As part of our Discipleship 101 weekend of service to others, we are asking for commitments to deliver and assemble pre-made bunk beds on Saturday morning
Please consider recruiting 2-3 friends and signing up as a team to deliver one bunk (two beds) to someone's home to assemble the pre-made bed. It usually requires about 2 hours per bed.
for more info, visit their website here.

If you are able to help deliver and assemble pre-made bunks on June 24th, please reach out to Tyler Harris confirmation. Please look for the sign-up sheet in the church narthex
