Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.

Danny Dieth, Pastor

Welcome to the website of Christ Presbyterian Church in Tallahassee! We are delighted that you have turned our way and hope even more that you will join us for worship in the very near future.

Christ Presbyterian Church is a relatively young congregation—not yet 20 years old—but we are a church that is making a significant impact for good in this community and, indeed, in distant parts of the world. And we invite you to join us in our efforts to obey the Great Commission of our Lord to go into all the world to proclaim the gospel and to call people to be his disciples.

Our Sunday School, which has classes for all ages begins at 9:15 each Sunday and our morning worship service follows at 10:30.

We will look forward to having you visit with us.

In the name of Jesus Christ, the head of the Church,

Danny Dieth, Pastor

Dear Church Family,
Worship. Nurture. Reaching out. These are three aspects of a “discipleship life” that make up the foundation of our calling together here at Christ Presbyterian Church. These words are taken from our mission statement. Other words are: glorify, enjoy, share, love, serve, and teach. Notice that these words imply that our life of faith is one rooted in passion and action.

Passion is a word that calls us to look inward to what we treasure as human beings, then act outwardly. Ask yourself the following questions:

  • What moves you?

  • What motivates us, as Christians, to action?

  • For what do we hunger?

  • For what are we willing to live and die?

  • What do we love?

Jesus Christ is the center of our lives, and the answer to these questions. It is through his passion experience that we are given his gifts of grace. It is in response to those gifts of grace that our passion about our savior and a life spent seeking and serving him will grow.

"Christ’s Passion" also alludes to the passion of Christ Presbyterian Church, this church that God blew his Spirit into exactly twenty years ago. Romans 5:1-2 says, "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God." The passion of Christ Presbyterian Church has led us together and as individuals to stand on grace, and celebrate our collective call to a life of service and love.

This year’s stewardship campaign will kick off shortly. It does not exist to pressure you, heap guilt upon you, or coerce you. This campaign exists to help you find, or rediscover, your passion. Worship. Nurture. Reaching out. These are core concepts that will lead us on our journey. We invite you to join us as we unleash our Christian passion, and celebrate life and ministry together. Look for opportunities to share time, talent, and finances, and engage as a disciple. Reflect on your life and take stock of where your passion lives. Prayerfully consider how God is calling you to be a joyful servant of Jesus Christ. Then, LIVE YOUR PASSION!!

In Gratitude for His Grace,

Pastor Danny
